About two years ago, we started pre-recording most of our broadcasts, which most podcasters do. Guests often show up late due to confusion over the time zone set-up, problems with Zoom, or a horrible connection in a hotel, making it necessary to reschedule the interview for better reception to make a better viewing experience for our listeners. Pre-recording also allows for post-production editing and the insertion of short advertisements.

This week, I will be interviewing Pastor Dave Howard of Foxhole Ministry for Happy Hour with DrT, a podcast that we have been airing every Tuesday night at 6pEST since June, 2020. It will be live for 24 hours and then in our podcast area at DrTenpenny.com

He has a really interesting bio. Here’s part of it:

Dave Howard is a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a former FBI agent. He’s an authority on workplace violence prevention and created the training program “Art of Verbal Chess” that provides the tools to become a Master Communicator. He also served as a State Representative and Senator from for 14 years – from 2009 to 2022 – for the state of Montana.

As a minister, Dave is the founder of Foxhole Ministries and the creator of the national radio program “The Voice of Truth’s Wake-up Call,” which is broadcast daily in twenty-five states. His most recent book, The Silent Church is Watching America Die, begins with a biblical and historical analysis of America’s moral and spiritual condition today and the true enemy behind the evil agendas waging war against our culture.

I have a lot of authors on my shows, but since Happy Hour (HHr) is a Bible-centered podcast, I also host a lot of pastors. Authors send me a copy of their book a few weeks before the interview so I can at least skim the content. When I received Pastor Dave’s book, I was particularly intrigued because this is a topic of great interest to me. You can watch our HHr broadcasts on Rumble, Telegram, and CloutHub. Pastor Howard makes a lot of really bold statements in his book, calling out the “woke agenda” and challenging Christians to stand up, be brave, and speak out. Loudly. On page 58 of his book, he says this:

Evil strives to make morally right seem wrong to accomplish the destruction of humankind. In darkness, they support and teach sexual perversion and trans-delusion. They change the definition of male and female to numerous pronouns. They posture illegal immigration, lawlessness, oppression, and recession as normal, good, and righteous.

However, Christians should take heart when evil falsely calls the righteous dishonest names. We are in good company. Lot would have been called homophobic for trying to save Sodom and Gomorrah.  Noah would have been called a survivalist. John the Baptist, Jesus, and Paul would have been labeled extremists, and the twelve disciples would have been marginalized as a fringe group.

Where are we with condoning evil? Do we say, “Let them do their thing. Just leave me alone”, as we tolerated the destruction of women’s sports on public display at the Olympics? When more than two million LGBTQIA+ folks marched through the streets of NYC on June 30, celebrating their freedom, did we just look the other way when adults were parading with breast and genitalia on display in front of many children?

It is estimated that about 5.5% of adults identify as LGBT or about 13.9 million people. This small number of people is driving the agenda in our country against millions of others. Many don’t care, but most do. What world do you want for your children and grandchildren, if the Lord tarries that long?

The Church is allowing it.

Where is the outrage? Where is the Church – or Christian Leaders – who should be standing on the Word and standing against this moral degradation?  In addition to the full month of June (30 days), there are at least 40 additional days per year set aside for awareness of LGBT issues, such as Bisexuality Day, International Lesbian Visibility Day, National Coming Out Day, and more. And they’ve co-opted the rainbow, God’s symbol of love and hope for humanity.

Is there a day to Celebrate Being A White Male? Or a Celebrate Heterosexuality Day? They are trying to eliminate Christmas so that we won’t even have a Celebrate Jesus Day.

I don’t have an organizational and collective answer for this. But each of us knows in our heart when we have kept quiet when we should have spoken up.

Make a personal pledge that you will publicly advocate for morality and Jesus. Yes, we will face persecution, but we’re in good company.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Father, we see moral turpitude happening all around us—in sports, movies, music events, and even within Your House. Give us the courage to stand up for You, knowing You are with us and even give us the words to say if we ask for them. The restoration of a physical house has to come from within. We call on the Holy Spirit to fill us with passion for representing You and showing that our heart’s loyalty is with You. Amen.
