Dr. Tenpenny,

I have Dystonia (Spasmodic Torticollis) to be exact. I got it in my 30’s and am now 75. I have tried everything imaginable other than the medication offered to me by the Neurologist. She said it caused mental confusion so I said “No, thank you!” I tried a natural clinic in New Mexico, physical therapy, biofeedback, yoga, supplements from a Naturopath, etc. I continue to pray for healing but the blessings I have received from this disorder are innumerable! I have had to learn patience as a way of life. Don’t get me wrong. I would love to feel “normal” once again. I had an afternoon and evening of remission once when I was in Santa Fe at the natural clinic and it was wonderful! I thank our Father everyday for my healing and wait patiently. I realize I have been able to enjoy simple pleasures that many others cannot.

Now I pray that your recovery is quick and complete. You have helped so many and saved so many that I know you will be blessed! If there is a lesson to be learned, I pray this time will be short lived and you can return to life as you knew it. You are loved, Dr. Tenpenny, and you have so many praying for you! May God hold you close and give you strength and peace!🙏🏻

For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it." 33:14 NLT.

THE IN-BETWEEN, a place most cherished.

I asked the LORD this question. Why is "the in-between" called the middle-of-the-road, the uninspired or forgotten? Why is this place least desired by most of us? It's so commonplace, we proclaim, void of noticeable benefits, uneventful, and undesirable. I said, LORD, please strengthen and help us persevere through our trials.

"I AM" that is why you are in "The in-between."

Please help us to endure what's happening now and ahead of us. Don't You know GOD what we are going through?

"I KNOW" that is why you are in "The in-between."

"So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So, when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world." 1 Peter 1:6-7 NLT.

THE IN-BETWEEN is a place with purpose. It is a necessity. It's where we get built up, strengthening us for what's happening now and in the future. It is a place of prayer and rest to draw us closer to the LORD. It is a place where the testing of our faith will show it's genuine, which is far more precious than gold. A place where waiting on the LORD no longer becomes undesirable but desirable.

THE IN-BETWEEN is a place where the promises of Salvation are reinforced, where fewer distractions make GOD's presence felt, and where the LORD's quiet, still voice is heard clearly, thus becoming no longer a place that has no intended meaning but, to the contrary, the most beneficial place to be.

"But LORD, be merciful to us, for we have waited for you. Be our strong arm each day and our Salvation in times of trouble."

Isaiah 33:2 NLT

Keep healing!

My late 30’s to late 40’s was a decade of being gaslit and ignored by insurance dictated doctors. God answered my prayers with an integrative medicine doctor who is actually helping me.

I became disabled after a booster shot and Lyme as a teaching assistant in an autistic classroom. So ironic.

Then I got biotoxin mold illness , housing is challenging living below the poverty level.

Thankful daily for the slow progress and having hope again.

Proverbs 3:5-6 and beyond Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own undertanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Get Wisdom, Discernment and Understanding. While we wait for our prayer to be answered and get discouraged because we don't see it happening it's because God is setting up the events to answer our prayers in HIs time and we humans are inpatient. Prayers continue for your recovery.

"Have you ever waited…and waited…and waited for an answer from the Lord? I mean, really waited. Have you waited silently without even a tiny whisper or a hint of direction from Him after your many prayers?"

Yes. I am waiting right now. Every day I ask God to show me what He wants me to do regarding this situation. So far, nothing. In the past, I would grow impatient, rant and rage and go off to do something that would turn to disaster. Now I just wait in peace. I literally do nothing and go on with my life the best I can. God hears my prayers every day. He is not ignoring me. Something is happening, inside me and outside of me, as I wait. I don't know what is happening outside of me, but once the changes inside of me are ready, both will come together and "it will be as it should be, and it will be good."

What a wonderful analogy! Faith is like a mustard seed. The tiniest of seeds can grow into a big bush and house much life inside it's branches. It takes a while for a mustard seed to become so big. Just like our patience. At the end of our big waiting period (which may look like a bush by this time) we will look back and see how small our patience was (like a seed.) As you said, this is God's way of growing us. His loving touch and our patience will grow into a big, big and wonderful relationship with Him. That's most important.

Hang in there my Sister in Christ and thank you for your wonderful articles. Even when you're busy recovering you still find time to reach out to us with good lessons about our LORD. This is exactly where you need to be and - as my husband likes me telling him on occasion - you are doing EXACTLY what you are supposed to be doing.

I miss seeing your face and hearing your wisdom on your various platforms, but I am glad you are taking care of yourself with God by your side. One day in heaven don't be surprised if a woman you don't know runs up to you and gives you a big bear hug...that would be me. :-)

God certainly gives us His help throughout our lives, but I cannot know know the 1000-foot view of what He has in store for me.

From miracles we know He sometimes intercedes, plus all of life is itself a miracle. The fact I exist at all, in this my 70th year in this life, is a miracle.

The seed & growth & God's presence throughout is a fruitful metaphor. We have the ability to intercede in our own health ... by holding the physical pain of an illness, feeling it deeply, its extent, 'becoming' that pain, and finally surrendering it, letting go. I learned of this from David R. Hawkins, M.D., 'Letting Go. The Pathway of Surrender.'

God bless you, Dr. Tenpenny. -L-
