On my bedroom wall I have giant wooden letters that spell out Grace right smack dab in the middle as soon as you walk in. I put them there right after I got married intentionally to remind myself of how much Grace Iโd been given to even be able to experience the joy of a second marriage after having failed at the first.
Funny story; it was not too long after being married that my husband and I had gotten into a heated argument. He had said or done something that really hurt my feelings and he was finally in the process of apologizing but I was still so angry I wasnโt ready to hear it.
He happened to be standing in the doorway to our bedroom and I looked up briefly only to see this big huge word looming over the back of his head like a crown, lol. Gods gentle to reminder brought a comical end to that argument very quickly ๐๐๐๐ฝ
I spend 15 + minutes a day reading the Bible....started doing this within the last few months. Itโs pleasing and calming. How nice it it to add your Sunday substack after doing this. Adds a lot to the morning. Thank you Doctor and blessings that you share with me/us the Word of God.
Thank you Dr Tenpenny for your beautiful message here. โ๏ธ
I also have been listening to a beautiful song sung by Leanna Crawford entitled: How Can You Not (see God); for anyone who likes to listen to music with a message, you would really love this one!
Just last night I read about grace and mercy in Neil T Anderson's book, "Who I Am in Christ". I realized that I hadn't truly understood their definitions. I just now saw and read this devo and I'm amazed at God's timing even though I shouldn't be. God is good!! Thank you!
Thank you for this. It is a good reminder to remember the difference between grace and mercy. Itโs a humbling balance to experience both as we are sanctified in our salvation journey daily. To walk in faith we need both. Grace and mercy only comes from the true God of heaven and earth.
I can hardly wait to meet you in heaven Dr. Tenpenny, my sister in Christ. ๐
Amen and Amen!! Praise God!!! Thank you, Jesus, for giving us both Grace and Mercy!!! We thank you and love you, Lord, and praise Your Holy Name, Amen!!!
Thank you my sweet Sister in Christ who reminds us every Sunday how blessed we are. This warms my heart towards the end of a Sunday and the beginning of a week full of needed prayer for my husband. God bless you!
What a beautiful way to start my day.
