Just what I needed to read. Thank you. I’m so sorry you are having a difficult time I will be praying for you. God is using you to minister to others in such a beautiful way. I’ve been struggling with an illness for the last 10 years. Your devotions are so encouraging. When we go through difficulties it’s so hard to understand - has God left me? Have I done something wrong? Why is there no end to this trial? I have to remind myself that my circumstances don’t dictate who God is. He is the same yesterday, today and forever - no matter what I’m going through He still loves me.
I needed to read your message today. I have prayed and prayed, too, for the health of a loved one suffering from major depression. It is so hard to be patient when the journey back to health takes so long and you are not sure of the right path to take. Thank you for the reminder of this Bible verse. I’ll try to take one day at a time and trust in God’s timing. I continue to pray for a miracle but I also pray for strength to meet this challenge in my life and I am confident God will grant me that strength. Thank you, Dr Tenpenny! You are a blessing to us with your messages.
"So, encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT
Dear Sherri, I Love and pray for you like many others do. We admire and appreciate your humble dedication, heartfelt concern for the physical health and spiritual welfare of everyone. Like so many others, I see how precious you are to the LORD and us, so as a consequence, we want to stand with you as you fight the good fight of faith, exposing the lies that harm the innocent, those unaware, all of us called to speak the truth from a sincere heart. Yes, we will fight this battle together cause nobody does this alone. We're all surrounded with support, seen and unseen, so let us continue as we keep our eyes fixed on the one who loves us most, Jesus Christ, our LORD. Amen
"Therefore, strengthen your limp hands and weak knees. Make straight paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed." Hebrews 12:12-13 BSB
I just woke up, looked at my emails, and this was the first thing I saw. I read it and I'm so glad. I needed it so much. "faith is letting go and falling into Your arms" resonates so much with me. I constantly think of Proverbs 3:5-6, my favorite Bible verses and yet so hard for me to incorporate! Sometimes I feel so sad and useless, and it's all too easy to get lost in that feeling and to forget that Jesus is always there, even when I'm too distracted by the sadness to remember it.
"I feel I’m just treading water. ... I thought my life might be like this at 86, but not at 66.
I share these feelings so intensely! I thought my life might be like this at 86, not at 73. I suspect many of us are feeling this rapid passage of time and our inadequacies are amplified against the tsunami of worldly woes and crises, both personal and beyond ourselves. The Lord is our only refuge and strength, and He is faithful.
One of my college friends and I both lost a close friend who brought us closer to God. Since he has been gone, loneliness and silence have been lost, and she is all alone. Even the animals in her household will stare, waiting for him to reappear and not understand that he went home to the eternal Father. I try to bring comfort to her heart and soul to no avail, and then get an email from places saying she is condemned to be unloved and unwanted, and that she will be dead. I asked her If this sounded like the Holy People Ones. " She believes it and cries nonstop about the lies and deception sent by others claiming to be from God or others from that realm. Do you not believe in God the Father, Son Jesus, or the Holy Spirit? Yes, I do, she replies, then why are you allowing false communications to continue and rely on them as answers. I will share your words today with her to help uplift her more. I am trying everything humanly possible for her to give her strength, encouragement, love, and light.
Dr. T. Thank you. May you walk on the beauty path with blessings that have always doubled beyond years. For you touch many hearts, souls, spirits, turning them to the Creator Father just as the Blessed Mother would.
Thank you....and I hope the verse from 2 Corinthians will help her heart. I lost my husband suddenly 11.5 years ago. The intensity of the loss does become less with time. Encourage her to love her time alone.
This is so very heart warming. You, Sherri are a gifted, wonderful person and I believe whole heartedly, you will be okay. As you fall into the arms of your Father in Heaven, he will catch you and you will be gifted with the newness you pray for. Our prayers are here, holding you up till you are blessed with wellness. You are loved so much and though your eyes we have learned so much. As you tell others many times, stay strong, stay prayful and keep your eyes on the prize. You are never alone, we are behind you, holding you in our hands and God will catch you. Just as he has caught each of us at times in our lives. God Be With You!!
Appreciate your honesty, Dr. T.
Continue to speak from your heart.
