I’m part Scots-Irish, and when I finally learned years ago about the Book of Kells (circa 800 AD), I understood St. Patrick’s devotion to God’s word and his faith in Christ. God sustained Patrick’s missionary efforts even to this day.

Thank you, Sherri, for setting the record straight about St. Patrick. Honestly, the LORD used him to do great things. And without restraint, our heart's desire should also be to please the LORD with a life, intending to let Him use us for His purposes. No doubt, He has called each of us to live a life that will honor Him "to lead a life worthy of your calling."
Being "worthy" of our calling is hard to digest because none of us are entirely worthy in the way we should be, but it shows that GOD's grace and mercy enable us daily to do what He has called us to do, big or small.
Thank You, LORD, forgive us of our sins, we ask. Help us surrender and allow You to mold us like soft clay in the Potter's hands. Make us useful to do whatever You have called us to do in Jesus' Name. Amen
