Exodus 14: 13-14
Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see the Lord’s salvation He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you must be quiet.”
Moses spoke these words to the Israelites the day before they were planning to flee Egypt, the day before God was planning to part the Red Sea for them to escape. If you’ve read the book of Exodus, you know the Israelites were a whiney and wishy-washy group of people who had a hard time with the whole concept of being freed from captivity.
In Exodus 14:14, we are reminded that when we are about to face our biggest challenges, we need to trust, we need to ask, we need to be quiet....then, most importantly, we need to feel the fear and do it anyway. Why? Because when we draw the Lord into the battle and onto the battlefield, He promises to FIGHT FOR US. We just need to ‘be quiet’ and get out of the way. We need to turn our fears and worries over to God and let Him fight the battle.
The Israelites were about to face off with the most powerful government and the most powerful ruler of the day: the Egyptian King and his massive, well-armed army. They were poor, unarmed and even divided in their decisions of whether they even wanted to get out of captivity! Can’t you imagine what the dinner discussions were that night:
The Egyptian army will come after us and kill us – we’re as good as dead!
Eh, where is it we are going? Into the ‘wilderness.’ What does that mean? Where the heck is that?
Will we have food and shelter? At least here we have a home and a job...and for the most part, we’re safe.
Who the heck is Moses anyway? Does he really talk to God? Is he hallucinating?
Now, fast forward to today.
We are standing up against the most powerful forces ever gathered on earth, plotting to take away our freedoms. We’re afraid of the consequences. We’re afraid to resist and revolt. We may be slaves, but we’re ‘safe.’ Who should we trust the ‘authorities’ or the radical rebels who encouraging us to resist and passively revolt?
Are you free?
So many around us are not even sure they WANT to be free – how many do you know who appear to be happily obedient? How many still wear a mask? How many are still staying their distance and may never touch another human again? How many are going to be injected, even microchipped, to be “free?”
OR - How many are going to rise up and declare, “I will die on my feet rather than live on my knees as slaves and captives to the New World Order. I will stand with God.”
As in the days of Moses, the Lord will Fight for us...if we invite Him to the Battle, then Be Still, let Him do His thing...and Know that He is God.
Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, in these challenging times, we come together to share our thoughts about the Word of God and to pray. We are exercising our FAITH and we are learning to BE STILL. We are preparing for the most important battle of our life: Will we choose to follow You or will we be among those who will Fall Away as predicted in the Last Days?
Lord, protect us from the Enemy. Give us keen discernment to recognize the Enemy in advance. Dear Lord, eliminate all vexes the enemy may try to place over us. We ask that You send Your warring angels join us to combat the trials against our internal demons and our external conflicts. We command them to fight on our behalf.
Lord, may You be with us as we relax throughout the days ahead. Guide our steps. Hold our hearts close so we may feel Your Love and protection. We worship you. We love you so much Father God. We thank You and praise Your holy name. Please grant us our petitions – the things we prayerfully request, or gift us something better that You may have in mind for us. Yet, in all things, may Your will be done. We ask in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
Thank you for all your hard work. It's interesting how God puts people in one's life from time to time, just at the right time. I can't remember the person's name but he led me to you at the beginning of all this evil (calling it what it is) craziness. Have since learned much about CV, the PCR and what viruses really are.
God truly is the protector of His children. May he continue to protect and bless you richly as you continue the fight.
Wayne
Thank you . I love that you are unafraid to speak the truth, God's truth, from His Word, given to us as the Bible. His Word gives us hope, strength and direction. I thank God, the God of the Bible for showing us who He is, so we are not left in the dark.
