I think you're friend was on the right track, but your level of REST on Sabbath needs to be between you and the LORD. You are saving a lot of lives with your work and insightful endless studies. God is smiling Dr.T🙏💯☺️
thank you Lori - I actually love quiet Sundays at home, reading the Word, writing my substack, and just being in my 'girl cave.'
I know what the Bible says about assembly, but going to church is no different than going a 'performance' - everyone swarms around, wants my time, etc. It's no different than going to a Clay Clark huge event.
I've tried to sit in the back, and sneak in and out... but it rarely works and somehow seems odd. But thank you for your kid words.
Dr T., I was not clear. My concern was your state of extreme exhaustion for the first 2 years of the plandemic. You had the weight of the world on your shoulders and it showed in your face, and I heard you state several times how tired you were from your demanding schedule. I was concerned about your health and state of mind and wanted you to have quality down time. Now a days, you look much more rested.
I totally understand where you are coming from. I recently shared a story regarding my husband's collapse in the front door. Since then it has been a whirlwind for me...calling the doctor's office a number of times to confirm they received the referral for an echocardiogram, dealing with insurances, requesting an updated referral for a consult, cooking all the meals making sure they were exactly what he needed, doing laundry, doing all the dishes by hand (no dishwasher - than in itself is another story.), being awake most of the night because he was not doing well at all, researching diuretic foods (which have helped a lot) and learning all we can about what MIGHT be going on , just being with him 24/7, and oh yes, taking care of an aging dog. I finally realized in these quick 3 weeks I have had to change my schedule and allow myself some down time. I've also had to make sure I stick to my quiet time first thing every morning. If I start out my day dealing with phone calls, etc., I am a mess! We need to rely on the LORD for rest, but we also need to allow ourselves to do that. I so appreciate how much you do for us with all your research and your interviews and your substacks, but you do need to take care of yourself. If you don't you won't be around in a healthy way - or at all! You are loved by so many people and we just hope you look out for yourself as well. I will pray the Holy Spirit will be heard when He nudges you to slow down, breathe it all in and rest in Him. All my love, your Sister in Christ
Thank you for sharing your story - and everyone here will be praying for you too, Sister. It's difficult to take time for yourself when world pulls at your every string - whether that "world" is thousands of people 'out there' or one very important person (and dog!) right in front of you. God bless you for all you do and for the encouraging word!
This was very helpful -- awesome job! As a word of encouragement, my personal physician keeps some of your videos in his office for patients to borrow and watch. One of the videos about vaccines was very helpful in convincing us to walk away from flu shots. We appreciate you!
I was convicted a couple years ago about resting on the Sabbath and it was one of those moments that made me wonder why hadn't I been doing that all my life as commanded. Some people will say that it is no longer a commandment because Jesus set us free of that but does that logic then mean that all the other commandments are no longer required? I can honestly say that i truly enjoy my day of rest and it doesn't even bother me if there is something that has to be done. I know that God will help me the other 6 days to do all that needs to be done. Dr T, I hope that you will come to enjoy a day of rest as well and let God figure out how you will get everything done. God bless you Dr. T.
Wow this was wonderful, Thank You. I vaguely recall "all work and no play" but forget the rest!!! I can relate to every thing you wrote about giving or receiving feedback from one another about ourselves or our behaviors. It's a risk many times of offending the person, yet it is the way the Holy Spirit works for us to grow. I especially appreciate the reminder of how we speak, our tone of voice makes all the difference in how information is received. A friend tells you the truth even though it may hurt. Your friend really cares about you to speak truth to you which also improves your health to rest.
Thanks for this Listen: Giving and Receiving. I DO keep the Sabbath, and it amazes me the issues that arise if I am alone keeping it especially. Then who, if any keep it as well... like you say, it is complicated.
I have found SOME aspects of Sabbath keeping offensive.. and some near impossible to protect my own spiritual space... it's an experience, and I'm sure not everyone experiences the same thing. Have a great day . It is an ongoing challenge when under extreme pressure, or SO MANY LIVES are on the line. I'm glad to see some of these things being addressed , of late, in Congress.
Those are the words of a true and good friend. It seems counterintuitive, like so much of God's truth, but rest is critical to productivity. We all need to give ourselves some grace in this matter. Even after we learn to give others grace it is a whole nother thing to be gracious to ourselves.
Thank you for sharing this, Dr. T. It sounds like you're listening to Kevin, and with the Holy Spirit's guidance we know you'll begin to implement some wonderful changes. We need you!
Rest, fellowship, and time with our Lord to refresh you will only enhance the work you do on our behalf. Blessings! :-)
Thank you.....simply Thank You.... your Happy Hours transformed me over 2 years ago.... and your Words, which God has stated “Word” has meaning... continues to guide me...
"Help our words and suggestions to resonate better with friends and family... and help us to be better, non-reactive listeners when that ‘constructive criticism’ comes our way. Help our relationships to be more like Proverbs 27:17, iron sharpening iron, so we can help each other grow and submit to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

Actually, my New Year's sermon this year was on rest and it's relationship to our health and productivity. If anyone is interested it is here, https://comfortwithtruth.substack.com/p/the-killer-cure-e66
