Excellent article Dr. Sherri!! About 15 years ago I started a meditation class to help reduce my stress at work. One of the primary things that I wanted to make sure about this meditation class and the practitioner was that she believed in God. As time went by, I realized she and many of the participants had a different version. They knew of my strong beliefs in God, and one day it became very apparent they were not walking with our Heavenly Father. I challenged them to start reading the Bible and truly understand that many of their beliefs were dangerous. When they challenged my faith, I knew that moment it was the last time I would ever go there. Another Christian participant also knew that day would be my last time. It was so clear that I had no doubt God gave me that incite and vision to see what they were doing was crossing too many lines. One gal had lost her son years earlier from an illness and she was unable to get to him before he died as he was out of town. She thought she could use all this new age Christianity to connect to him. I also saw how there were also very dark spirits that would surround others who had no faith attending these classes. It was not somewhere I wanted to continue. I warned the practitioner about what she was doing and she was too interested in growing the class rather than realizing she was dealing with something very dark spiritually. We had become very good friends, but she didn’t want to consider what I was warning her about. Several years later our pastor was going to hire her for a church led meditation. As I was on the church board, I warned him about these classes and that they should not continue them. Anything we did had to be Bible based, not the let’s put it out in the Universe mentality. Fortunately he followed my advice and thanked me for looking out for our church. It was the last time she ever came. This was a very timely written warning Dr. Sherri and one people need to see.

I woke up expectantly, - anxious to read what you would say to us this Sunday morning - hoping & praying it would be about this very topic. I am so grateful, dear Dr. Tenpenny. It's exactly what I

was hopeing you might cover. Narrow is the path. There are not many, there is but ONE. - & we shall rejoice in Him. In these perilous days, confirmation is especially valued & appreciated. I pray for your complete healing & restoration. Amen.

It’s like I told the sweet young Mormon ladies when we were discussing their ‘supplemental’ book to the Bible - God doesn’t need ‘another gospel’. He doesn’t need a supplemental explanatory text. You only get ONE shot at this in life - Don’t screw it up.

Thank you for writing on this, Dr. Tenpenny. Holy Spirit opened my eyes to yoga and meditation and I’ve stopped doing those things as well as gotten rid of “self-help” books I had. The Bible is the only one I need and meditating on scripture has brought great clarity and peace.

God is so good, and even used the last 3 years for good. He woke me up out of my lukewarm faith and has given me purpose in serving Him. All praise to the Lord!

Thank you for speaking up. This is vital information. Divination of any sort is an abomination. A local Congregational church in Maine actually taught the use of Tarot cards from the pulpit. The teaching was well received by the congrgation.

Dear Dr. T, we were so blessed by this message. In 1987 my husband and I were living in Seattle. The New Age movement was in full throttle. We would preach Jesus outside their meeting and conferences. Now 39 plus years later this wickedness is entrenched in Christianity. We continue to warn and speak against it. God bless you and keep you safe.

Thank you for sharing the true word of God. Perversion is creeping in everywhere. Christian music is particularly troubling. Hearing “Mother Nature” used to replace God is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

This article is spot on Dr. T, thank you for boldly speaking the truth. I, like many others, woke up to many things as a result of the past 3 years and have seen the danger and evil lurking in so many places I was naive to before.

As time has gone on, it has only become harder and harder to decipher who is truly on the side of the one true God, and his son Jesus. Many in the “freedom movement” seem to be towing a line between speaking “truth” but also embracing these exact practices you mentioned. If I am honest, there were even articles that mentioned your name in this lane of thinking and I was devastated. With your openness of sharing your personal journey this gives a lot of perspective on those who are pulling information from the past vs what I have seen as your “fruit” for the past 3 years.

Praise Jesus you found your way out of the false practices and your life has been a living testimony. I have also been very convicted on things in my own life and the potential darkness I was entertaining. So this is in no way a judgement, but instead a rejoicing in hearing you speak truth and living it out daily.

You remain a beacon in the storm Dr. T and I am personally so grateful to have learned so much from you these past few years. May God continue to bless and protect you.

I lived it. I was famous for my tarot reading business, psi experiences (psychic), divination, rune readings, crystal gazing, you name it. I was good & made money from what at the time was considered a gift. I was raised in a Catholic home. My mother attended church daily but she and her ancestors were highly sensitive and could predict things. When my mother died I was open to mysticism in a new form. I think that some people who are religious can go off into other forms of mysticism. Eventually I rejected all forms of divination and gave up my goal of becoming a parapsychologist. Instead I embrace God, love Jesus, and receive the Holy Spirit as my guide. I coach others as a professional Christian career and life coach and I pray to use my intuition through the Holy Spirit. I still have prophetic dreams. Once I relinquished the power I had for the humility and love that comes through prayer and reading scripture I am able to use what sensitivity I have to spread God’s word. It is as simple as asking myself, “who gets the credit, the Creator or creation?” I wrote a novel in 2022 based on my life with a bit of fiction. If it was an autobiography, no one would have believed it. Receiving Grace is resonating with readers and I am working on my second novel. Both are Christian mysteries. It is a way to reach people about God through storytelling with a twist. Thank you for this Substack article which I know is the truth. I am happy that you shared your experience of going astray and the return to your Christian beliefs. My Substack focuses on God’s signs and whispers. I write most of it but I also accept others stories written by those who have recognized signs of God. Meditation empties the mind, prayer fills it with God. An empty mind attracts all kinds of false entities. The more we embrace God as the founders knew, the more we will be the army of light.

OLD AGE DECEPTION in a New Age package

"If you know the Lord, and you've been partaking with these New Age tools, stop. You can't walk in both worlds, God's love and paganistic practices. Ask God's forgiveness, then go and sin no more." Sherri.

Thank you, Sherri, for speaking the truth in love. Everyone needs to hear what you said in this letter because evil proliferates when not condemned.

"Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church." Ephesians 4:15 NLT

OLD AGE DECEPTION in a New Age package

The title New Age starts with a lie because nothing is new. Its origin began a long time ago with Satan in the Garden of Eden, when he said.

"Did GOD really say, You must not?"

"Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden." Genesis 3:1 NIV

"Your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods."

"For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:5 KJB

THE WARNING

The New Age ideology is a "looks good, feels good perceived to be wise" deception to lead us away from the LORD, not closer to Him. The New Age is a trap set by the devil and the fallen angels to ensnare Christians and all those seeking to find GOD. When anybody participates in this activity, they are unknowingly agreeing with the devil, saying.

" Did GOD really say You must not?"

The New Age movement looks beautiful, satisfying, and desirable for obtaining Wisdom.

The tree looked beautiful.

The fruit looked delicious.

The tree looked desirable for obtaining Wisdom.

"When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining Wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it." Genesis 3:6 NIV

THE WARNING

Ephesians 5:6-14 NLT: "Don't be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. Don't participate in the things these people do. For once, you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So, live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.

(Carefully determine what pleases the Lord). Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said,

"Awake, O sleeper,

rise up from the dead,

and Christ will give you light."

The consequences of this sin will last forever.

"But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, (those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers), and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." Revelationn21:8 NLT

The devil is still active doing the same thing. Nothing has changed.

"He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them." 2 Thessalonians 2:10 NLT.

"Do not let the devil or anyone lead you astray."

"Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work." 1 John 3:7-8 NIV.

TRUST IN THE LORD!

"You will keep in perfect peace

those whose minds are steadfast,

because they trust in you.

Trust in the Lord forever,

for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal." Isaiah 26:3-4 NIV

JUST TRUST IN THE LORD!

"But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him." Jeremiah 17:7 NIV

JUST TRUST IN THE LORD ALWAYS!

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart;

do not depend on your own understanding.

Seek his will in all you do,

and he will show you which path to take.

Don't be impressed with your own Wisdom.

Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil." Proverbs 3:5-7 NLT

Stay alert!

"Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8 NLT

Amen Dr Tenpenny. I’m sorry I have lost friends for standing up to some of these very “slippery” practices. One friend believed it was good to ask dead believers to “pray” for her and when I came to her, alone, as the scripture instructs us to, and shared the scripture with her that forbids such practices, she wouldn’t agree. I then tried to meet with her with two more Godly women who agreed with the scriptures so we could win our friend back from this, and other practices she was slipping into. She wouldn’t talk with us, her friends, without her priest. Other friends in our acquaintance were offended at our addressing this issue with her. They felt it all of it should be overlooked in the name of “love”.

Christians are “falling away”, as the scripture prophesied, caring more for comfort and “getting along”. It isn’t an easy road to speak up, like you’ve done today, and when you experience pushback in your personal relationships, I’d remind you you’ve done the right thing to follow Christ, and His truth at any cost. Good job, sister.

“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household! Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.”

Matt 10: 24-26

Hold the line.
